Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni will be present as part of Milano XL - a celebration of Italian creativity and an innovative and engaging project that will bring the city to life during Milan Fashion Week - with seven installations in Milan’s most symbolic locations from 16 to 26 September in conjunction with the city’s fashion week.

The Fiera Milano event dedicated to bridal fashion takes centre stage with Triumph of Love, an en plein air installation dedicated to the wedding ceremony from the seventeenth to the twentieth century: in the heart of Sforza Castle’s Piazza d’Armi and featuring theatrical scenography, an original journey through images will illustrate the history of weddings from dresses and accessories to jewellery and hairstyles, as well as evanescent architecture, menus and invitations, hailing from the precious public collections of the Collection of Bertarelli Prints.

The installation, organised by the Memoria & Progetto association, will showcase an extraordinary history of the ‘most beautiful of days’, which for centuries has constituted the pinnacle of the artisan sophistication and artistic creativity of all the various production sectors that converge to celebrate the occasion, from folk prints to aristocratic depictions, portrayed through convivial and surprising scenography in the most typical of wedding traditions.

With this initiative, Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni is preparing for the 2018 edition, seeking to work in an ever more synergistic and integrated way with the other leading companies within the Italian fashion sector. At the heart of the market for over forty years, the event represents the best of craftsmanship and the Italian bridal fashion industry, whilst also hosting some of the leading brands within the industry.

Inspired by the great Italian sartorial traditions used to make wedding and special occasion gowns, Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, through its participation at Milano XL, aims to recount to Milan’s many visitors the true value of craftsmanship, style, beauty and sensitivity, which today influence the creativity and research of both leading stylists and artisans alike.

In anticipation of the next edition dedicated to sector operators in April, the event is ready to say ‘I do’ to an initiative boasting a myriad of meanings and great cultural value.    The event will therefore take place at Milan’s Sforza Castle from 16 to 26 September 2017, enabling us to experience a Triumph of Love together, where all and any can participate, be moved and enjoy a historical look at the ‘big day’.
