Milan, 16 March 2018 - We have long grown accustomed to co-branding collaborations and projects; now, thanks to Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni, even the bridal industry is being complemented by the synergies that are breathing new life and energy into the market.
An exceptional runway show and cult occasion that will see the capsule collections created under the watchful eye of Giusi Ferrè take centre stage, fruit of the creative design of various stylists and production of leading sector companies. An exclusive event is born of this synergy, which will see runway shows and a cocktail party and will involve press, professionals, influencers and special guests.
With just a few weeks to go to opening day, five duos have joined the Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni project.
Beginning with Blumarine, one of the most highly esteemed brands in the fashion industry, which has chosen to strengthen and extend its collaboration with the Bellantuono Bridal Group. Next up, we have the Nicole Fashion Group which will be collaborating with influencer Paola Turani, followed by Tosca Spose alongside the Leitmotiv creative duo, Musani Couture and emerging talent Stefano De Lellis and finally the Bellantuono Bridal Group once again, but this time with designer Efisio Marras.
The evening’s special guests will include the likes of Carlo Pignatelli, who has chosen Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni to narrate a new chapter of his story with a celebratory capsule collection.
In fact, to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary, Carlo Pignatelli is proposing five new contemporary looks, interpreted by the young and iconic beauty of four male models and one female model, intended to create a new sense of continuity between past, present and future. A special capsule collection that continues along the same lines as retrospective ‘Story of a Dream’, the exhibition dedicated to the fashion house organised as part of SposaItalia.
ON THE CATWALK
Blumarine, founded in 1977 by Anna Molinari who continues in the role of stylist for the prestigious fashion house, has chosen to rise to the challenge provided by the new project and will be gracing Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni with a capsule collection of bespoke dream wedding gowns in collaboration with the Bellantuono Bridal Group.
The Nicole Fashion Group has chosen to focus on a ‘cool’ collaboration and has called upon Paola Turani to re-visit the various garments in a contemporary key: models and influencers will be part of this creative game and will work closely with the group’s stylist Alessandra Rinaudo.
The Tosca Spose and Leitmotiv partnership will see wedding gowns take the spotlight: Elisabetta Garuffi, renowned for her bon-ton, sophisticated and clean styling, will join forces with the creative duo, famed for their eclectic taste and unexpected yet unmistakable creations.
On the subject of occasion wear, Musani Couture, the historic brand specialised in occasion-worthy looks, which has chosen to invest in new talent in order to take cue from the new generations and offer an innovative and glamorous image of the occasion-wear segment, has partnered with Stefano De Lellis, a young and promising Italian fashion designer and aficionado of gowns boasting abundant embroidery, crystals and jewels.
The Bellantuono brand, which has enthusiastically risen to the occasion, has decided to take up the challenge by also making its expertise and professionalism available to Efisio Marras, the 24-year old Sardinian stylist and creative director of I’m Isola Marras, who, following in his parent’s footsteps, has re-interpreted the brand's vision of the contemporary woman.
Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni thereby confirms its status as a professional business-driven sector event and a dynamic creative platform, ready and willing to welcome both national and international buyers.
Save the date! Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni will take place from 6 to 9 April at fieramilanocity.

STYLE, NEWS, BUSINESS
While waiting for the 2018 edition, Si Sposaitalia Collezioni reveals its new image
Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni is back at fieramilanocity from 6 to 9 April 2018. Milan’s Bridal Week is the most glamourous event for this industry and a reference point for the international market and fashion influencers.
Si Sposaitalia Collezioni reflects the current wedding fashion trends, as, every year, it showcases the best international collections. Numerous brands have already confirmed their presence, such as Nicole Fashion Group, Antonio Riva Milano, Luisa Sposa, Dalin, Emiliano Bengasi, Bellantuono, Blumarine, Tosca Spose, Sadoni and Kisui; on the men side Petrelli Uomo, Andrea Versali, Maestrami and Lebole; for the ceremony segment Matilde Cano, Sonia Peña and Maria Coca.
This edition will immediately start with a big change: new dates. The fact that the event will start earlier will allow exhibitors to present themselves on the international market at the right time, thus ensuring the best business opportunities. But there’s still room for more!
Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni will also host the first edition of the Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni: the catwalk show supervised by Giusi Ferrè who invites high-profile designers to re-conceptualise bridal and ceremony looks. Chosen by the famous fashion critic, the mini-collections by creative designers and major companies will take the runway in a special venue in fieramilanocity. This synergy will make the evening as unique as ever, with fashion shows and cocktail parties. The press, professionals, influencers, and special guests will all be there.
Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni aims at confirming itself as an international promotion driver for the bridal market. It draws inspiration from the fashion world canons, in general, and haute couture, in particular, to provide an extra boost to its exhibitors and make them even more competitive. With this goal in mind, the event has launched a programme for international incoming buyers, which includes the arrival of 200 buyers coming from the strategic markets of this industry. France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Iran, the USA, Canada, Russia, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
Milan, 30 October 2017 – Scheduled to take place from the 6th to the 9th of April, Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni brings forward the dates and introduces a change of format, launching the Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni, the runway show that, from the heart of Milan, will present the new modern and innovative concept of the formal wear sector before an international audience.
The next edition of Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni will in fact be inaugurated by a special catwalk show that, on day one of the event, will see important names in the prêt-à-porter sphere take to the runway in a prestigious city-centre location. Internationally renowned designers will be presenting creations that have been designed in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the bridal and formal wear industry, resulting in a union of creativity and manufacturing that also spans art and culture. In fact, ‘Triumph of Love’, the installation dedicated to the wedding ceremony from the 16th to the 20th century that took place at Castello Sforzesco – as part of the Milano XL project at the last edition of Milan Fashion Week - has inspired the collections. Milan, the already long-established fashion capital, therefore becomes the focus of the new bridal week format, combining savoir-faire and fashion appeal; a development that goes hand in hand with the brave decision to bring forward the dates with respect to other large international fairs. “A project that is intended to strengthen the impact of the event on an international scale, by focusing on two key elements: the quality of the offer and the appeal that the Italian fashion industry has throughout the world”, explains Simona Greco, Director of Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni.
The Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni, of which the location is yet to be revealed, will become part of the wider and already established Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, the event organised by Fiera Milano in the fieramilanocity exhibition spaces that, over the years, have experienced considerable success, so much so as to be considered a point of reference for the sector both nationally and internationally. The fair is set to be distinguished by over 200 collections, with 35% of these hailing from international designers. The decisions to launch the new format and to change the schedule constitute part of a wider renewal strategy, intended to promote the quality that already characterises the event and to boost its impact on a global scale.
Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni represents the most glamorous event taking place at Milano Bridal Week. For over 40 years now, undisputed market leaders have been presenting their collections of wedding gowns and formal wear and accessories for men, women and children. Manufacturing excellence, the use of premium quality materials and the creativity of the couturiers will take centre stage at the event, in addition to the entrepreneurial experience of companies with the capacity to effectively enter the international market, enabling the fair to attract buyers from all over the world. Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, in this regard, represents the perfect showcase for the elegance and sophistication of tailoring techniques, as well as a unique opportunity for all sector operators to do business and exchange ideas.
Milan, 18 October 2017 – Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni will next year open the international calendar of the most renowned bridal fashion weeks: the Italian event, organised by Fiera Milano and dedicated to the new bride, groom and ceremony garment and accessory collections, will in fact take place from 6 to 9 April 2018 at fieramilanocity. An absolute novelty that for the first time turns the spotlight on Italy and, in particular, on Milan, providing the Fair with the perfect opportunity to meet the challenges of a constantly changing market.
A new beginning that also includes the launch of “Evocative mood”, the new campaign of Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni 2018: a "suspended" dimension, a limbo in a dark space, becomes an ideal catwalk that, in a single image, encloses a multi-form concept made of purity, intensity, modernity and character.
Black and white, in perfect and harmonic symbiosis, merge and reflect in a strong play on contrast that is powerful and aggressive but at the same time poetic and elegant. The languid but secure stride of the protagonist figure expresses the harmonious, strong and engaging idea of a precise way of being a bride: the multidimensional space in fact takes on the appearance of an imaginary catwalk on which the woman proudly proceeds, wearing an embroidered dress with a soft silhouette and essential lines, which narrates the contemporary with great charm and spirit, while still retaining the contours of timeless romance.
In the perfect contrast between black and white, light and shade, the new campaign underlines the intention of Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni to focus on the concept of a modern, clean, essential and certainly "fashion" image, confirming the current importance of the fashion world on the international market. And fashion parades will in fact be the focus of this new edition, enriching a busy calendar of appointments dedicated to presenting the new bridal proposals for 2019.
Manufacturing excellence, high quality of materials used and creativity of the couturiers combine with the entrepreneurial experience of companies that have the ability to significantly penetrate the international market, conferring on Sì Sposaitalia industry leadership capable of attracting buyers from all over the world. Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni is a perfect showcase of the elegance and sophistication of the sartorial workmanship, as well as an unrepeatable opportunity for business and exchange of ideas for all industry players.

Milan, 22 May 2017 - The 40th Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni confirms the show as the point of reference for the bridal world. And to be even more competitive on a global scale, next year's dates have been brought forward to 13 - 16 April 2018. This strategic decision meets the demands of exhibitors, giving them the opportunity to open the industry's international season. Furthermore, it places the event at an exciting time for the city of Milan, which in those days will be busy with the Salone del Mobile and Milano Design Week.
This year's Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, which closed yesterday at fieramilanocity after 4 days of intense fashion and business, featured all the hottest trends: a return to romance, flower power and 1950s nostalgia, alongside audacious experiments with technical fabrics, playful hats, daring shoes and brightly coloured accessories.
Milano Bridal Week is increasingly becoming the international benchmark for professionals seeking originality and wishing to offer their customers the best in wedding fashion, with an expert blend of cutting-edge and timeless solutions.
And all this in an exciting 40th anniversary edition, marked by 8,040 professional visitors, including 2,006 foreigners from 67 different countries. Japan tops the ranking with 284 foreign buyers (+ 8%), followed by France (+ 23%), China (+ 35%), Spain (+ 35%) and USA (+ 9.5%). The number of buyers from Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and Russia remained stabled. The 2107 event marked the first-time attendance of operators from Qatar, Canada, Kazakhstan and Israel.
Such positive results were made possible by the collaboration with ITA-ICE, Italian Trade Agency, which thus confirms its strategic role in promoting Italian products and the sector in general.
Buyers were particularly pleased with the show's cosmopolitan offering, with 210 collections on display (+ 10%) presented by exhibitors from countries with a strong bridal tradition and from interesting emerging markets such as Israel and Latvia.
In the words of the buyer Liz Sellassie, President of Designer Loft (New York, USA): "Bridal shows are often repetitive and the collections all look the same. Here, however, there is an impressive variety of proposals, and all of exceptional quality. Alongside Italy's outstanding craftsmanship, we also have style offerings ranging from Scandinavia to the Far East."
Gabriela Rios, from the Sposa Bella chain (San Antonio, Texas), agrees: "This is the first time I take part in the show, and I really enjoyed the fashion shows, which gave me the opportunity to assess the clothes dynamically. Texas is a conservative market in terms of formal wear, but it is slowly opening up to new styles, and here I was able to pick up many new ideas to expand our offering."
According to Lamoon Shanghai (China), "Chinese brides change clothes 3 or 4 times on their wedding day. One is a traditional western-style white dress, and for this they turn to our boutique. We are situated in the former French area of the city, which is still quite westernised and follows European fashions. Here in Milan, we know we will find the quality our brides require."
The buyers' feedback is echoed in the exhibitors' satisfaction, in particular with the professional profiles of the visitors to the event. As Antonio Riva comments: "I am very pleased and extremely satisfied with the result of the 40th Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, which gave me the opportunity to meet interesting buyers from all over the world, in a friendly and international setting."
"Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni confirms its role as the leading showcase in Italy, and one of the most important in the world, for bridal fashion," says Emiliano Bengasi. "This year, the show was accompanied by a fashion show, which made a big difference. We received a lot more positive feedback both from the media and from buyers, and we concluded important contacts with the United States, China, Korea and Eastern Europe."
"We did very well this year," comments Giuseppe Papini. "Our products are highly appreciated by international and Italian buyers alike."

Among the many scheduled events, particularly notable is the first edition of the Elle International Bridal Awards organised with the exclusive collaboration of Elle, the most widespread international women's magazine that, for thirty years, has been giving fashion, beauty and lifestyle tips to women from all over the world. The award will have a special patroness, Federica Pellegrini, acting in her capacity of Bridal Expert: Federica is not only a world swimming champion, but also a known fashionista who enjoys the odd appearance on the catwalks. On this occasion, she will contribute her experience and taste to assess the garments competing in the first edition of the awards.

Milan, 19 May 2017 - Romanticism will be key word for next season, even if with a modern touch and free from the past influences.
The new dress will not be necessarily sexy. Exaggerations, nude look, and the girdle effect will be set aside to leave the stage to a white and bright, fluid and puffy, but always romantic dress.
All this is embodied in the pleated tulle, as if it was a dance of fans, with long, fancy trains that can start from the waist or half the leg and that fluctuate freely, and necklaces placed strategically, such as on the waist or convoluted necklines, and airy, never static veils.
The fashion point: after years of oblivion, the sleeve is back and becomes a strategic part of the dress: See-through, rich, and puffed sleeves, inspired by the Renaissance period; large and triangular, bell-flared sleeves as in the Fifties; or short and flap sleeves as in the Star Wars film.
Fabrics display all their grace and lightness, flying as fairies, light and ethereal, enriched with Valenciennes lace with crochet wreathes, plumetis, and large meshes inspired by technical fabrics.
The dresses can be decorated with sparkles, fringes (from the folk to the deco style) made of fine silk or with micro beads, as if they were ringed, ready to move in a wave-like motion.
The one-piece dress will take centre stage this year, with a few exceptions: blouses, T-shirts, bomber jackets, and shirts are ready to give life to customised two-piece dresses, without ever betraying romanticism.
