Yes I do. But sustainable!

#SIGREENBRIDAL is unveiled, the project by Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni that brings eco-sustainable capsule collections to the catwalk, the result of collaboration between bridal boutiques and manufacturers of green fabrics.

Emphasis on sustainability for Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni which transforms the green trend already registered in the broader fashion sector and presents, for the first time, an eco-project devoted to the bridal&ceremony world.  #SIGREENBRIDAL - a natural evolution of Sì White Carpet by Sposaitalia Collezioni and scheduled for 17 April next year at the start of the event - is actually an all-embracing project which involves manufacturers of fabrics and yarns attentive to the environment and boutiques who have worked together to create eco-sustainable capsules dedicated to ceremonies.

Loads of big names have already signed up to the project which demonstrates, once again, how Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni has turned this new awareness into a reality, marking an important and ethical change also for the time of the ceremony.

Sustainability is an extremely important issue in our times and it is essential for everyone to make a contribution, no matter how smallS” said Elena Bellantuono, owner and creative director of Bellantuono Bridal Group, among the project participants. “We are thrilled to be able to say our bit on this topic which involves everyone, including our sector, and represents the start of a fresh and diverse approach to ceremonies and beyond”.

Besides, the growing and continuous sensitivity to the environment makes the development of an ever-increasing awareness of green issues also in the bridal&ceremony segment completely natural and forward-thinking, as reiterated by Massimo Precoma, owner and creative designer of Maria Pia. “We liked the #SIGREENBRIDAL project from the start: we decided, some time ago, to implement small green initiatives in our company, for example the replacement of some plastic packaging or the use of 100% recycled material. The sustainability of fabrics and yarns is the new creed to adhere to, not just in fashion but in the bridal sector too, because, as Mother Theresa of Calcutta said, “what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop”.

The other key elements in the project include the creations by Elisabetta Polignano, the most authentic muse of the made-in-Italy brand, the artistic flair of Emiliano Bengasi Couturier, the skilled and cherished tailoring of Dalin, the fluid lightness of Jillian, the bespoke dressmaking of Luisa Sposa, the regal elegance of the jewelled clothing of Diamond Couture Maison, the effortless yet sophisticated spirit of Marylise and the ‘cool chic’ style of Rembo Styling that will collaborate with some of the most innovative and visionary names in the textiles segment, such as the original and innovative simplicity of Maeko yarns, the use of yarns from recycled plastics of Elitex, the silky style of Stamperia e Tessitura Luigi Verga, the charm of the organic silk and cotton of Attilio Imperiali and, to boot, the centuries-old history of the Teseo weaving mill, a pioneer in innovation.
