The year ahead. The where, how, and when that 2025 will bring

The Wedding as a lifestyle observatory: desires, trends, attitudes change. It feels as if nothing changes and yet everything changes.  So what kind of 2025 awaits us?

First of all a 2025 of proposals: there’s a return to pursuing that fateful 'yes' by choosing extraordinary locations and creating spectacular marriage proposals that are rigorously documented on social media.

The two different moments of the occasion find a perfect balance, like on the jeweller's precise scales, between ceremony and celebration: the first of moving solemnity, the second of joyful revelry. There is no dominance of one over the other: it is the union of ritual and party that defines a truly successful, memorable day. Favourite starting time: late afternoon and then long into the night.

With these premises, the change of dress becomes almost natural. From the runways, therefore, many short dresses, jumpsuits and trouser suits, while the first look is romantic, luxurious, important, almost always with a train and a veil. Destination weddings will grow, with Italy leading the way, not only due to Tuscany, but also Sicily and all the wine areas, with locations in amongst the vines. Castles will be sought for their fairytale rather than historical settings. As arrangements go, the imperial table still reigns supreme, but it is less formal, shaped to complement the room, serpentine or with rounded edges. And the cake? According to the English magazine The Wed and its Instagram profile, wedding cake trends will focus on the tall and narrow. If multi-tiered, they will be decorated with cherries or fresh fruit. And the top ten for taste will feature the mille-feuille.

2025 is sure to be a year full of details, with a view to creating memorable experiences.
