When white leaves its mark

A trend is something abstract, but at the same time very tangible, a kind of subtle magic that links different collections together, despite each having its own personality. A sort of individual and collective common thread then, which traces volumes, cuts and details. Brands are increasingly focused on their identity and visibility but they also know how to introduce new elements, season to season, to ensure a dress is modern. So what will next year's wedding profile bring? Definitely STORYTELLING, or rather content, that ‘something to say’ that makes a dress even more precious, the keeper of a message. One obvious example are royal weddings, specifically the dresses of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Duchess of Cambridge, which can be admired on different levels, whether aesthetically or from a deeper, symbolic standpoint. The same lens that values the language of embroidery, beyond its execution, or the story behind lacework. Uniqueness, the hand-made, and the tradition of certain techniques that are kept alive with the wedding dress and that would otherwise be lost. A short story to be aware of, or tell your friends about, like a little pearl. SILHOUETTES are all about the very simple and sleek lines of the mermaid, or, at the opposite end of the scale, narrow waists and skirts that explode, extending into the unmissable train. A subtle play on weight that often considers the LIGHTNESS of details: a long sleeve made transparent, a weightless flounce, an almost liquid bow. Simple details that, together with broderie anglaise, round necks and tulle dotted cotton, revive the BABY look with its 3D flowers, modern signs of purity.
