When the bride is green

A line up of unmissable events for the upcoming edition of Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, from 17th to 20th April at FieramilanoCity, a meeting point for business as well as trends, contents, cues and inspiration. And for the first time ever, the green bride will walk the catwalk.

Sustainability, ethics, respect for the local area, reuse and recycling are important topics, debated in this period across all sectors and fashion is no exception, bridal wear included. This is why Sposaitalia has launched the project #SIGREENBRIDAL which for the first time ever will stage the results of collaborations between bridal wear brands and manufacturers of ecological fabrics. A number of different collaborations have already been signed: Elisabetta Polignano, the perfect interpreter of made in Italy and strong point of Bellantuono Bridal Group, the creative exuberance of Emiliano Bengasi Couturier, interpretations by Maria Pia, the creative sartoriality of Dalin, the skilful fluidity of Jillian, the meticulous craftsmanship of Luisa Sposa, the regal elegance of Diamond Couture will all collaborate and interact with enlightened fabric manufacturers who prioritise research. Puredenim has risen to the challenge, with its alternative denim, alongside the original naturalness of Maeko yarns, created by the recycling of plastic materials by Elitex, the serial production vocation of Stamperia e Tessitura Luigi Verga, the sustainable and attentive soul of Italian Converter, the magic of organic silk and cotton by Attilio Imperiali.

A widespread presence, interesting in virtue of proposed garments and symbolic because it traces new horizons and responds to rising public demand and sensibility. A big leap forward and a significant stimulus. Dresses will feature on the catwalk in the afternoon on the 17th and will be showcased at the event, thanks to a special exhibition path.
